What i am trying is simply to be able to modify user properties values for current user outside of User Manager main page (for users with less than admin permissions) .. so i make new page with modifyuser.html parts, but called outside of User Manger .. but now, this page is functional only if user name is passed in calling link, not if user name is defined in page body ..

seem like new build changed the way which modifiyuser.html is acting?

Now, when i link modifyuser.html, i must pass username in link? (ie. modifyuser.html?username=admin) ... i my site, i was using modifiyuser.html similar way as changepassword.html, where i can define current user in page body .. so, i make copy of modifyuser.html and was using this new page for user to self modify user-properties ... and this "workaround" is now not working for me ..

much sorry for my bad english, hope you understand where problem is ...

maybe i can "build" needed path with JavaScript, but is there any standard way to pass OE variables (means $user in this case) to JavaScript variable?

please, can you resolve this ... i am pretty sure, that you have any bug in system, please take a closer look at this feedback/error report ... you can really easy get this error in your on-line demo if you make steps below:

- launch new "archive" from Digital assets top menu, i.e. "testik2"
- click Browse Categories (to avoid another error message after click on Browse Assets as first)
- click Browse Assets and click Add Child folder link next to /folders/ icon
- name new folder, i.e. "photos2", click OK
- click on photos2 icon
- click on Mount External Files next to icon,
- paste same path to photos as in original archive ("/home/cburkey/ .......")
- click on Save, click on Synchronize Files, after moment get message "897 new records added.", click OK

OK, now you have similar (maybe identical) structure, as in original demo "Archive"  .. BUT .. if you click on any Download button at any image, you get error message "Missing Original. The original image you requested was not found ......"

So, this is different behavior between standard archive and newly created asset archive.

You have similar feedback from Ian Miller from 9.july, partially answered by Axis, please take a look at this posting too.

I am spending some days and trying (by File Manager) to find difference between original file structure and newly created file structure, but without success .. maybe will be helpful, that i am getting error message:
Could not find bean named collectionDownloadGenerator
in some cases when browsing through file tree ..

i suspects some confusion in default root -- please look at archive.xml file in archive>configuration ..

[ <!--  This property no longer works. Use the "orginalrootdirectory"  property ..... ]

PLEASE .. we have entire site ready - but non-functional, as we can't download assets .... i am sure, this is not "implementing issue", but bug in system ..

maybe somebody know what i am doing wrong; although when u/l files to existing folders in on-line demo, everything is working OK, after u/l to newly created folders, i can not d/l files back... same problem i get on my local system, even when i am trying mount folders ... i think i miss any setting, or rule ... thanks for any help ..
